I can't find anything in the Police Pension minute to show that Allowances are made for good conduct medals, tho' they have Good Conduct Pay. There is nothing in McIver's paper 8501/98 to show whether any special Allowance was made; nor is there anything to show whether such Allowances were ever made in the papers of other Officers recently retired. The Hong Kong Police Punishment Rolls are mere skeletons (see e.g. 10982/47).
